What we collect

Reader account, only if you sign in with Google: your email address, name and profile picture from Google, and the secret for two-step verification if you turn it on.

Waitlist, only if you sign up: your email address, the product you are waiting for, your language, and whether you confirmed.

Server logs (IP address, user agent, requested page), kept briefly for security and debugging.

Visit analytics through PostHog: pages viewed, buttons clicked, page load speed, and session recordings (mouse, scrolling, clicks) with all inputs masked. Nothing is recorded on the account, sign-in and admin pages. PostHog never receives your email or name; if you are signed in, it only gets an internal account ID.

We do not build advertising profiles or sell data. Cookies keep you signed in, stop bots, and let PostHog recognise visits from the same browser by a random ID.

Where it is stored

On veasy's own server. Nightly backups are encrypted and stored on Cloudflare R2. Confirmation emails are sent through ZeptoMail. Visit analytics are stored by PostHog in the United States.

How long we keep it

Account data stays until you delete your account. Waitlist entries stay until you ask to be removed.

Comments, likes and page views

You can comment and like posts without an account. A comment stores the name you choose (a random one by default), your text, the time, and your account ID if you are signed in. Comments are only shown after review.

A like stores a random ID kept in a cookie in your browser, so one browser counts once. Page views are counted per post per day, as a single number. Views from bots and from the site admin are not counted.

None of this stores your IP address. To limit spam we keep a one-way hash of it that changes every day, so it cannot be turned back into your address or linked across days. Notes left by AI agents in the agent guestbook are handled the same way. To remove a comment, write to [email protected].

Ăn Gì? (agni.veasy.vn)

Ăn Gì? at agni.veasy.vn is a veasy product and signs you in with your veasy account. When you sign in there, it receives your account ID, your name and your Google profile picture from veasy.vn. It never receives your email address.

It stores what you do on it: photos of dishes you cooked and the text you add, your votes, feedback you send, dishes you save or mark as cooked, and your profile (display name, handle and avatar, either your Google picture or one you upload). Your profile is private unless you make it public. Photos are shown only after review.

Photos and avatars you upload are resized, and metadata such as EXIF and location is removed before they are stored. Photos are stored on Cloudflare R2; everything else stays on veasy's own server. Posting is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile.

Visit analytics on agni.veasy.vn go to a separate PostHog project. PostHog never receives your email or name; if you are signed in, it only gets an internal account ID.

If you are signed in and tick the consent box, agni.veasy.vn saves your answers to five taste questions: how many people you cook for, cooking time, taste, dishes or ingredients you avoid (no reason is asked), and dishes you like. These answers, together with the dishes you save, mark as cooked or swipe past, are used only to suggest dishes on agni.veasy.vn. They are not sold or shared. Without the tick, your answers are not saved on our server. Turning it off in your account deletes your taste profile at once; we keep only a record of when you agreed and when you withdrew. We never ask for your age, gender, health or religion, or your exact location.

After you agree, you can also let agni.veasy.vn use your location. This is optional. Your location is turned into a province or city on your device, and only that province or city is saved; coordinates are never sent or stored. You can also pick it by hand in your account. It is used to suggest dishes that suit your region and the current weather, and it is deleted together with your taste profile when you turn personalisation off.

You can remove your avatar and your saved dishes yourself. To delete your photos, your profile or anything else on agni.veasy.vn, write to [email protected].

TikTok

veasy uses TikTok Login Kit and the TikTok Content Posting API for one purpose: uploading cooking videos made by veasy to veasy's own TikTok account. Videos are uploaded as drafts, and the account owner publishes them by hand in TikTok.

We request only the user.info.basic and video.upload scopes. We do not collect any data about people who watch or interact with these videos on TikTok.

The TikTok access token is kept on veasy's server and used only for these uploads. Access can be revoked at any time in TikTok's app permission settings.

Your rights

You can delete your account and its data at any time on the account page. For anything else, such as a copy of your data or removal from the waitlist, write to [email protected].

Changes

If this policy changes, the date above is updated. Material changes will be announced to the mailing list.
